You may have heard advice from Internet marketing gurus that ezine ads are one of the best forms of advertising. I am sure you know by now that google adwords PPC and other pay per click search engines like Yahoo are one of the best ways to advertise your sites and products. Article submission is based on trust and that is a big advantage. Suppose you subscribe to an ezine in the form of an email newsletter. You’ve just sat down at your PC, coffee in hand, to read your email. There in your inbox is an email from a favorite ezine that you love to read.
Opening the newsletter, you find a sponsors ad along with a couple of ezine ads and two great looking articles. While drinking your coffee, an interesting looking article grabs your attention. You read the article, and you were right. It’s a great article.

You find that there is a link to a free report by the author containing relevant information on the article’s topic. Then you notice that right below that there’s a sponsor’s link in an ezine ad. There is also a sponsor’s link offering a free report on the same subject at another website.
You could conceivably click on both links. But if you could only click one, which would you choose: the one by the author of the great article you just read or the one in the ezine ad?
If you would click on the one from the author of the article you just read, you’re not alone. Most people would, wouldn’t they?
Now suppose you’re surfing around on the web. You do a Google search on a topic you’re interested in, and you follow a link to a great article with some excellent advice on the topic. Again you are given a choice of the author’s website or a link to a free report that includes more information. Next to it are five Google Ads on the same subject. As luck would have it, they are also each offering a free report on the same topic.
You would still be most likely to click on the author’s link at the bottom of the article, though, wouldn’t you?
Article submission beats ezine ads and Google AdWords because you establish a relationship and build trust with your reader. You are obviously the expert. When all’s said and done, the article was written by you. And the webmaster or ezine publisher wouldn’t have published the article if they didn’t think you knew what you were talking about, right?
Years ago, I used to do direct sales in people’s homes. The warm up was the first thing of importance i learned to do. You’ve just been welcomed into somebody’s home, in most cases they don’t know who you are but one thing they do know is that before you leave you will try to sell them something.
Most people have a natural resistance to sales people, so it’s important to gain their confidence as quickly as possible. In direct sales in the home, you do that by talking a little with people before you begin your sales presentation. Once they get to know you a little, the more they will relax.
The majority of people don’t like selling, they don’t want to be that nasty insistent salesman who’s trying to sell them something. Let’s face it, people hate sales people!
Just think how great it would be to warm up to thousands of people easily and not just a few people at a time. Imagine if instead of selling them something, you could educate them about something that will solve a problem and be of great benefit to them. That’s entirely different, isn’t it?
Article submission allows you to do exactly this, and on a massive scale. If you submit many articles to article submission sites and article directories, many will be published on web sites and in ezines around the Internet. People will read your articles and warm up to you. By solving their problems you keep them coming back for more.
It’s hard to accomplish that with Google AdWords. You don’t have long to attract visitors and keep them, maybe a few lines and about 10 seconds on average to grab their attention and get them to click. This is not something that can be done easily with ezine ads. The problem with solo ezine ads is that everyone knows they are advertisements.
Article submission is the secret. Writing your own articles and then submitting them is not too difficult. Write informative, well written articles about your subject adding links back to your site or affiliate program etc. A solid reputation and trust can be built through article writing and submission. There is no doubt that trust is gained through your article submission. Don’t forget when you submit articles that are good quality with sound advice, you build up a steady flow of people visiting your site that respect and value your opinion, that are there to receive more information and find out if there is anything else you can do to help them.
As it is that’s a great benefit, but it gets a lot better than that. Article submission is usually free, or low cost if you use an article submission service. It is very unlikely you could ever get traffic from ezine and google ads that listen to you and have the same trust as they receive from an article submission.
